AATCC introduces a brand new proficiency ( ILPT) program for basic antibacterial assessments.
This program covers AATCC methods 100 and 147 .
On a global scale this is the first of its kind being offered for the textile industry.
As antimicrobial treatments have become a very commonly used textile finish and labs conduct this method and report pass and fail , participation in this program will give the lab and its customers statistical data as to how well the lab is able to conduct AATCC TM 100 and 147 correctly , what is the global average and where the lab stands.
AATCC proficiency program results give both captive labs or 3rd party labs the required confidence that their results are correct.
Customers of producers of textile products or 3rd party labs can also ask for AATCC proficiency test data to check a labs proficiency level.
AATCC has several other proficiency programs covering several AATCC test methods. All methods have facility to fill the data online via the internet.
Don’t guess how good or bad a lab is insist on AATCC proficiency program data to know how good their results compare to other labs.
