David T. Parkes MRSC of Ramsbottom, Lancashire , passed away on 25th July 2009 at 7.00 PM India time.

He was in India working on revamping a Dyehouse.

David had over 40 years of experience in dyeing and was considered as one of the best Reactive Dye chemist in the world.

His death has caused a huge gap , which may take a long time to be filled.

Personally I have lost a good friend and a great partner.

Together we worked from 2 ends towards a common goal, with him concentrating on the Dyehouse and me the lab.

I will miss him, his knowledge , his honesty, simplicity , his idiosyncrasies and overall his sense of humour.

David “May you rest in Peace”.

Arrangements are being made to transfer his mortal remains to England. The funeral will be held in England. Watch for news on this blog for the news on his funeral.

You may please send condolence messages to Mrs, Eileen , David's Wife by e-mail dtpjane@yahoo.co.uk . You may also leave comments on this post which will be forwarded to her.

With Deep Regrets … Jayakumar Gopalakrishnan jayakumar@grmg.org
